In California, we had about 5 days of record high temps .... in the 90's. It cooled off, though, and were all very relieved! however, in only anther month or 6weeks we are going to be hit hard again with hot temp.
Suzi was shaved down a few months ago> She looks adorable now, Not long haired yet, still short . I live upstairs and go on our Balcony, Suzi often comes out with me, she sometimes gets too hot just outside for a min. I don't take her Outside in these weather conditions. I will take the chance of heat stroke. Dogs body temps are 101' + Yorkie's have a lot of hair , and the heat of the day/? It is not a risk that I am willing to take . Later on in the evening hrs, if temps have dropped, then Yes, we will go for a walk.
