Could she have been bitten by something extremely toxic over in that area? Spiders? I don't want you to have to re-live it, but what was her breathing like during the whole time? Was she pawing at the sides of her face at all (which dogs will do when choking)? (don't go there if you don't want to think about it/describe it)
