I had the same trouble with Sophie. She had stitches inside and outside. The outside ones were loose and looked more like a tressed up turkey Anyway, Vet said try to keep her restricted for 1-2 weeks. Of course, the first two days she was a bit out of it and sore. But by day 3 she was wrestling with our cat. The cat will go submissive on her and lay on his back and I would have to break it up because I was afraid he'd do a "bunny kick" with his back legs and rip the stitches out. The Vet pretty much said do the best you can to keep her calm but that she will also know her limitations. She may try and jump and it will hurt her tummy muscles and stop. Other than trying to restrict the cat wrestling matches and steps, I let her do her own thing. She turned out just fine. But alway, always, always keep an eye out.
