Gracie Ruth has thin hair also. I have her done in a 1 1/2" long puppy cut and I leave the legs a little longer, trim the feet close, don't cut her head/top knot, ears or the hair on the bridge of her nose. Tip the ears and even up her beard and mustache so that it's nice and neat. And in the summer I have Lisa shave her tummy/chest area for the added comfort in the heat.
