I used a semi-clear (transluscent) round lid from an empty coffee can, trimmed the edges so it would fit Prine's bowl, and made three small holes with a knife. He has drunk from it at least 4 times, and my husband and I could not believe it...no hacking...no spitting up. Usually I have to get him and rub his throat after he drinks water to prevent him from spitting up.
I just cut holes in three of my tubberware lids for his other water bowls.
