I would make the couch a "No Dog" zone
and keep him out of the room when you cannot specifically watch him
When you are with him
watch when he jumps on the couch
UH! and down
keep repeating until you get the right response
and he is not to go on the couch without your permission .... at all times
You have to reclaim the couch as YOUR possession not his
