Embarassed I need advise!!! Please help...

So I've recently bought my baby yorkie (14 wks) "mini dingo"s... (they are rawhide chews) since he is teething and he loves to chew (my hands and feet only - not his toys). I figured it was a GREAT because he seemed to love them since he would lay down and chew the thing down peacefully...
WELL. one day that he had been chewing his dingo he started crying, I panicked and was gettin him ready to take him to the vet but all of a sudden stopped and he was fine....
AND... just today, I had given him another dingo and he was doing fine. Until he began crying again... oh my gosh! I panicked again and checked him out... and once again, he was fine. so now! I figured he swallowed the last tiny piece (big piece compared to his small throat) and it hurt him.
aaaghhh... He loved them dingos but I threw the rest away.
Does anyone know of any healthy, semi-hard, long-lasting, chewing "somethings" I can give to my pup??
Please help...
