you are so right whispersmom2, after the x-rays I did somewhat relax. at least I have an idea when she is finished. I have no mentor. I don't know any breeders around here. I sure would love to experience a birthing before I am left alone with this one. I am learning so much about the process. I run it over and over in my mind hoping I am well prepared for the big event. I have downloaded charts of all sorts. To keep track of her temperature, Puppy birth charts, etc. I have a neighbor who is willling to help me out but she has never done this before either. Even my mail carrier said she would come and help me if need be and even gave me her home phone #. I told her not to offer if she doesn't mean it because I may be calling her. LOL
I found a new vet because my old one didn't have the equipment for x-rays and then the experience we went thru with having Buckeye's teeth cleaned was enough to force me to be on the lookout for a new one. I found a lovely vet. she was so nice and I told her I was interviewing them for a replacment vet possition. LOL. I feel like I am being too picky but I feel the vet should be trying to help me instead of just making me feel like I am just their meal ticket.
