I once worked with a child who had CP and her legs were splayed out. We used to tie a theraband (those stretchy yellow exercise bands) around her upper thighs for several hours a day so her hips wouldn't be over-extended. I wonder if that would be helpful for your little guy-this way you wouldn't have tape sticking to his hair. Of course, check with the vet. God bless you for rescuing this pup-he deserves to be loved.
