Did you try United Yorkie Rescue.com or go to Petfinder.com. Also YorkieHaven.com. I got mine from the petfinder site several years ago and I just love her. I found Mia and read her story and clicked on the adoption app. it took awhile for them to respond but finally did...I also applied for another dog not too long ago but she was in Missouri and I'm in Illinois. They like to place their dogs in their state first. Petfinder will also list the shelters in your area also. There are alot of private rescue sites.
