There's several ways to tape. First shave the ear all the way down on both sides. It takes the weight off the ears and you don't want the hair sticking to the tape when it's pulled off. Jon-An yorkies has an illustration on her web site. When I tape I leave them up for 5 days and down for 2, retape if necessary.
