My little Burke can swim but wont jump in on his own, he tends to hang out on the shore when I go swimming. He will go in up to his chest, swim a little then go back to shore. I wonder since my sister got a new lab puppy that Burke is in love with, if he'll try to follow her more into the water this year. I'm hoping he'll become a stronger swimmer for it. Though I am worried about the active lab puppy rough housing too much in the water!
Burke has webbed feet, but isnt a strong swimmer. When he does swim his butt sinks some so he wears a lifejacket when we go on the boat. |
