I used to only give Frontline during what I thought was tick season (Spring to early Fall). I said this to my vet and she informed me that ticks are actually worse in fall and winter. I had no idea and stopped using Frontline during this time. Regardless, I've found ticks on my one baby a day after applying Frontline. It truly never seemed to work for my babies and my one also had seizures from it. I like the natural spray much better.
Here is the link to the site for the repellent I use on them. Chinaroad Lowchens of Australia - Alternative Health (Natural Health) for Canines worldwide. |
Thanks for the link. Looks like it has some great herbal remedies! I am so at a loss with what to do regarding Frontline... I just posted a new thread asking for opinions from the 'natural mommy' crowd. Meg also has a thick coat and I do NOT want to miss a tick or flea. I've never even seen a flea. I've googled them, but i've never seen one in person. Will I know it is Meg gets one? And if she gets just one, will it multiply to a swarm? It grosses meout justthinking about it.
