Congratulations on getting your show prospect. How old is the puppy you are getting? There are some dog shows in Beaumont, Texas this Friday, Sat. and Sun. If you get a chance you might enjoy going to watch. There are not that many Yorkies entered. If your new yorkie is still a puppy then you have plenty of time to look for a handler. I would recommend handling classes so you can learn just the basics of handling so you can start training your puppy at home. Most handlers won't take on a yorkie until they are over a year old and are almost in full coat. You might also want to contact the Greater Houston Yorkshire Terrier Club. There are some great show exhibitors in that club that could help you. We will be looking forward to seeing your new baby.
