It's not as frequent as that video though and he doesn't start hacking when I touch his throat either..it just happens randomly..sometimes he'll be playing/running and it'll happen for like 10 seconds or so..its like *hack* -2 second pause - *hack*, etc. lol
How would he have gotten kennel cough though!? He hasn't been exposed to ANY other dogs...the only place i've been to with dogs is the vet and he never got near any of them. How is kennel cough treated?? How much is the medication and do i get it from the vet or from a pet store? I want to make sure he is okay!! |
take a video and go to the vets again. see if your vet can massage the throat to get him to do the cough. if he suspects allergies or kennel cough he'll probably put him on Clavamox suspension which is a great antibiotic and should clear up the problem. you must make sure you use the antibiotic for the entire suggested time to ensure that you knock the problem totally out.
