What is the value of pin brushes over the other types? Do they get snarls or mats out without pulling...or what? I'm always looking for a better way.

My new little Chorkie, Zoey, has a combination coat...cottony on her head (and wee pooch pits, lol) and coarser on her body. It's the cottony stuff that really wants to mat...
As a groomer and exhibitor, pin brushes are not great for grooming. I only use them in the show ring and it depends the type of coat I'm showing.
