My Biewers have thick silk coats and the pin brushes are perfect for them. I lift the hair up from the bottom and brush in layers all the way through to the top...then I use a comb that has different lengths of teeth to be sure there are no snarls anywhere and it works great. My groomer recommended the varied length comb...she said to never use a comb with even teeth. Silly me didn't ask why...I just said 'O.k.'
