All of that is beside the point. The point I would like to make is how can you possibly fault someone for trying to help make someones life better? Your going to cease donations to these charities because they accepted a donation from someone you dont like? You should be ashamed of yourselves. I would like to see ANY documentation/articles from where a petland pet that was donated to one of these charities had any problems. I agree that some of the stores are disgusting, but you are equally as disgusting for bringing your puppy mill politics into the charity realm. |

Now that you are here maybe you can broaden your knowledge base and we can
enlighten you on exactly why ALL Petland's and pet shops that sell puppies need to be put out of business. It does not matter if a puppy that was donated by Petland had a "problem" or not--
what is a matter of FACT is the Puppymill atrocities that are committed by puppymill owners repeatedly all over this country. Take a look around at all of the mill busts and the condition of the poor animals that come out of these "facilities".
The type of treatment or lack there of is what is appalling to me personally. The years of misery that these dogs are faced with only to disguarded when their usefulness for breeding has ended and they are tossed like trash is what is disturbing to me. This is the reason that ASPCA pickets in front of Petlands all over this country! The more awareness that is created against the horrors of puppymills the better!
I personally as not ridiculous in my opinion of Petland and thier association with puppymills and the Hunt Corporation. There is a huge movement that is gaining more and more momentum to put not only pet stores and yes Petland out of business because of the deceit that they so often have been proven to work under.

These are just a few of the articles that I was able to find regarding Petland and sick puppies, where the puppies came from and why it is wrong to purchase puppies from Petland or for that fact any other pet shop.
I have every right to voice my opinion that I will not in good conscious be able to continue to support Make a Wish or St. Jude if they continue to accept donations of any kind from ANY Petland! I also have a right to let everyone that I know of this practice and will make sure that I continue my quest to let everyone know that will listen about why it is wrong to purchase a puppy
from ANY pet store. I will continue to volunteer in rescue to personally try to make a difference for even a few that are in need. I will also continue to email each and every member of the boards of both of these charities and will encourage every person that will listen to do so as well.
As I stated earlier, I think that both Make a Wish and St. Jude are wonderful and caring organizations. I cannot imagine all of the good and caring people that work within these organizations wanting to associate themselves with the misery associated with a puppymill.
