Brandi & Phantom had a vet appointment tonight. They each had rabies and distemper shots, and just Brandi got a Bordetella (kennel cough vaccine) - not the shot, it was given through the nose (it is required for the classes she will be taking).

Anyway, we went home, and Brandi vomited and became very lethargic. Her gums got pale, so we called the vet and they said to bring her right back. So, we went back and he gave her a shot of an anti-inflammatory, and sent us back home. He said she should be better in about an hour or so. Well, we've only been home for a few minutes and she just threw up again!

At first I thought it was the kennel cough vaccine since she's the only one who had that and Phantom seems to be fine. Now, I'm not so sure, because I just remembered last year when they got their shots (they were just puppies) he gave them the anti-inflammatory as a preventative measure. So, really, the reaction could be from any of them.

I'm sure this has happened to other people. How long does this reaction last? What can I do?
