Once the glands are empty feed a bit of canned pumpkin to them, it has alot of fiber and helps things alot. Don't let it go a long time or it will get thick and need emptying again. You can do regular canned pumpkin not the (pumpkin pie filling already spiced) or some pet stores sell canned pumpkin dessert for dogs. It's called Natural Choice Healthy Dessert Pumpkin Crumble. It comes in a little 3oz can. It is made by Nutro however. Wild dogs would leave their scent this way but domesticated dogs eat a different diet and have no real reason to scent mark. So I guess our tame pups can have problems.
