Default Anal Gland

I had to bring Pao in today because he was licking his bum a little too much and found out that he has an anal gland infection. His poo has been pretty hard but it didn't help to clean out his anal gland enough. The vet said one side of his anal gland has a very thick wall and that didn't help with the condition.

We ended up doing an antibiotic infusion and he is on Clavamox twice a day for 14 days and going back to check after 3 weeks to see how the thick walled side is doing as nothing is hardly coming out when the vet excretes it.

Anyone with similar experience? Can you please share if yes? I need to know more of what I can do for him. He is on homecooking and I am thinking I have to change his diet? Never had a problem with his glands before until now and he is almost 3 in June. Please check your furry butt's anal glands from time to time. Apparently, it is very common in small breeds.
