We use a once a month pill called "Comfortis" it is absolutely the best; it works! We have 6 dogs and had bad flea problems until we put them all on the Comfortis. Now we have no fleas. The only draw back is the dog has to be above 5 pounds, so my two Yorkies cannot take it, but because the other dogs are flea free, the little girls do not get them either. :-)
