this may work for some but leaving food and water down 24/7 is not always necessary. A lot of people here have their dogs on scheduled feedings which is a lot easier to do in combination with housebreaking.

If your pup does not have hypoglycemic episodes, is a good size for age, and healthy then you will do fine with scheduled feedings. Some leave water down 24/7 and some pick it up at night. its up to you and your dog.
