Default Quick Benadryl dosage question!

I have the Children's Dye-free liquid Benadryl, and I'm confused about the dosage. I know I should give him 1ml per pound (he's 6.9lbs, so I'd give him 7ml). Well, I have a syringe from the vet from a previous medication, and I also have the little measuring cup that came with the Benadryl. However, 7ml on the measuring cup is WAYYYYY more than 7ml in the syringe! Or is my syringe not in millileters...maybe it's in mg? Ugh, I can't tell...it's worn off lol. If it helps, I used the syringe previously to give him liquid metronidazole, and I gave him 3ml (or at least I thought it was ml). Please help...I don't want to overdose him! Thanks!
