Also ring the local vets as we found a dog once sorry to say that it had been a hit and run .He was lying in the road and cars were actually swerving so as not to hit it , unbelievable! No one stopped , we picked him up and took him to the nearest vet. It was touch and go for a while but George made it even though he had 2 broken legs. The point is he was micro chipped and the owner was there in minuites. He escaped from the yard but it was a happy ending I truly hope yours is to . Sending hugs.
