I don't know why Apple seems to be o.k. w/the hair dryer...I always have it on low, and start from the back (tail area) and move gently forward...If I hold the hair dryer far enough back from her face, she'll even let me dry her face...Do you have another hair dryer in the house, you could try?...Who knows if maybe one sound works better than another?
