I agree with the above NO table scraps. If we were being fed yummies from the table would you want to eat your regular food? I know it seems scarey when they dont eat but a dog WILL eat when hungry , its a natural survival instinct, unless he is sick of course but you havnt mentioned any symptons so he is being fussy. Believe me we have all been through this.The chicken and rice is like a safety net, only give when you really need to for a poorly belly for example. Good luck with it , hope some of this helps you.
