My Brandi is exactly the same way. You described her to a tee. I still haven't figure out how to train her to let me know when she has to go. I rely greatly on keeping rigid schedule.
When I have to go to work, I feed her and take her out first thing in the morning. When I get home, I walk her again then I feed her. I then take her out for her last walk for the night. She is pretty good about not pottying at night. She can usually last from 10 until about 7 in the morning.
On the weekends, I usually follow the same schedule except, I take her out around lunch time. I only feed her twice a day, in the morning and then again in the evening. If I deviate from this schedule even a little bit, she will have a accident inside. She just will not let me know when she has to peed so keeping her on a schedule is paramount. |
