I think that first statement you made was pretty rude.

A lot of people would gladly love to tell our little barky, annoying dogs off to live somewhere else and I think you would be highly offended had that statement been made about a Yorkie. A lot of people HATE the so called small, nippy, barky dogs. And that's a stereotype, isn't it? Jackson is far from any of those things but when people hear I have a Yorkie, a picture is immediately put in peoples heads of little annoying spoiled dogs wearing clothes going everywhere in purses. However, when they see my big 13 pound old Yorkie who loves to run around outside with the big dogs, get dirty and be a dog... they're like wow! The same can be said for Pit Bulls.. they are stereotyped to be these nasty, fighting, vicious attack dogs but that's not always the case.

I've posted my opinion somewhere far back in this thread, but this is mine... I don't have anything against pit bulls. I think that HUMANS ruined the breed by training and breeding them to fight. I do think they get a worse rep then they should. And I do think fighting is IN a lot of them and cannot be stopped. But I do not think it is the breeds fault. However, I would never own a pit bull myself for a few reasons... I wouldn't want the liability. If by chance anything happened, I could get charged heavily, courts, etc. I personally don't really think they're cute. And they're too hyper active for me. That's all just personal preferance.

My aunt owns an 8 year old pit bull named Max and he is just so hyper still. He is the sweetest dog EVER, gives so many kisses and cuddles, sleeps like a person, and is a big baby who will back down to any small dog. However, I understand peoples reasonings for not wanting to bring babies, kids and little dogs around pit bulls. I honestly don't fully trust them but as I said, I think its breeders faults for that, not the dog. I wouldn't want my Jackson over there without my supervision or young child. Even the dogs size alone can hurt babies and small dogs unknowingly. And the MAIN difference between an attack pit bull dog and a vicious little Yorkie... I can easily grab a Yorkie by its neck if necessary and get him off of me if under attack. A pit bulls jaws are locked on so tight that I wouldn't even know what to do.
