Default Baby Teeth Issue

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I was unsure whether to post in in emergency or here in health. Because little Dexter is doing fine for the most part I figure this would be the better of the two to post.

So, our little guy is 5 1/2 mo. old, and today we noticed him chewing oddly. From past experience with previous dogs I assumed that he was just about to spit out one of his baby molars. The issue persisted throughout the day so I decided to inspect his mouth to make sure there was not any critical problems at all. Keep in mind over the past week his breath has gone from being pleasant to full-blown dragon breath almost overnight. Upon inspection I found that one of his far back baby teeth is cracked at the crown and can be wiggled (although I really don't want to do that because the last thing I want to do is hurt the little guy.)

I was curious to know, does anyone here have any experience with this sort of problem? I'm not sure if I should be super worried because it would kill me if it led to an infection, or if I should just keep an eye on it to be sure things don't go south. Keep in mind that he is scheduled to be neutered on Wednesday, so at the latest our plan is to call the vet tomorrow to inform them of the condition and have a further look when we drop him off for the operation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone!
