When we are going camping (we go for 2-3 weeks) we get our boys hair cut pretty short, for the exact reason described above - pokey things!!! In the mountains where we camp the pine trees shed these sticky things and you CANNOT get then out of yorkie hair. So, our boys have to have really short hair cuts when we go up there.
