I'm no expert, but I do spend a lot of time reading these boards. I think that red-legged doesn't mean they are from a bad line, but it would mean they aren't to standard. I also believe that reputable breeders will occasionally introduce a well-bred red-leg into the line...it has something to do with keeping the color or coat quality. You'd have to ask someone who knows more than I do.
