My new yorkie is about the same age as yours. I know she was bathed before I got her (12 weeks by breeder). I have bathed her once since. I believe in bathing about once a month. I know at our yorkies ages, their hair is really growing and does require attention. One tip, DON'T EVER USE HUMAN SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER. I had a breeder once tell me to use Head and Shoulders on my past yorkie, Mufasa, and he had problems with his skin.
I think it good to try to hold off as much as possible unless there are some sanitary issues. I wash my yorkies the same way you do and think you are doing a GREAT JOB!!!!! |
