I once saw an email with the usual we have had our beloved dog so and so for 13 years and recently had a new baby. We just don't have time for him anymore, and we aren't sure we can trust the two of them together, blah, blah, blah. He is up-to-date on shots, and we are asking a small re-homing fee...then at the bottom of the email is a picture of the new baby that they are wanting to rehome, and they are keeping the dog. Hee!

It's obviously a joke, but it was a refreshing twist to me on what seems to be a common problem!
