 Baxter's Sick and I need Advice about best food.....
What a day...this AM when husband came home from work I let all 3 pups outside to welcome him home, and hubby noticed Baxter peed blood. I took him to the vet, and they ran some tests and said he had kidney stones. He has surgery scheduled for Tuesday AM, and in the meantime he has to take some antiobiotics (sorry i don't know the name of them...husband has the prescription, I am writing this from work).
The vet said this is usually caused from too much magnesium in the diet.
I feed Grammy's pot pie kibble and and variety of Merrick canned food on top it.
I neede som advice on a healthy low-magnesium food, all I can figure out so far is I need to switch to just canned (which my pack will love anyway)
I feel so sad and and bad for my baby. I really just want to be at home right now with him, and feel guilty that I may have been feeding him the wrong food.
