I was in your shoes exactly 1 month ago. It is sooo scary. I was going to a new Vet and at the "pre-surgery" visit I drilled this poor Vet to the umpteenth degree. She came highly recommended and is a Univ of Penn graduate. She answered all my q's and even added some further details like that they are AAHA certified, that all her techs are trained and not "helpers", etc. Till it was over I was very confident in her. But the day came when I had to "drop her off" and it felt like I was putting my entire life, heart and reason to live in her hands. I remained calm for Sophie but cried the whole way into work with worry. They ran all the pre-anest. tests and all was well so they did the surgery plus pulled 4 baby teeth. They called me when she was done and told me she did well and was waking up. She was even giving out some kisses. It's scary...I know. But it will be ok. Hang in there Mom and I'll be looking to see how she did. PS: Pain meds are a PLUS!
