When they do the fecal test and want to give shots for other things, that's not necessary to do?
They always tell me this and that is recommended for my dog, and I always agree because I don't want them to think that I don't care about my dog's health.

Legally, rabies is the only shot required by law.
But I think it's standard to give your puppy 3-4 sets of puppy shots between the ages of 8 weeks-16/24 weeks (if I remember correctly.) And then I BELIEVE they need the boosters for those shots the following year. And then you never really have to give them again. They're said to last a dog a lifetime. I definitely don't believe in over-vaccinating a dog. It's useless. Jackson had a reaction to lepto and it was so scary! I felt so bad for him. He got 3 sets of puppy shots (DHPP the 1st and 3rd time and DHLPP the 2nd time, when he had reaction.) He has not had rabies yet even tho by law, he should have by now.. He's 6 months old. He will be getting his soon.
