It's almost been a week now and I've been in bed ill. The first couple days was so sweet as Schatzie laid in bed with me constantly. But...after that she's like "heah, I have my life too and i just can't lay here anymore. It was nice having this bonding time with you for the first couple of days but really now? Are ya ever gonna get outta bed Mama??
Around mid week I could tell Schatzie and I were having some major conversations and she told me this. "Mama, I appreciate how you put up my gate to keep me in your room and the service porch, but do you not realize that I have other rooms I like to play in also? You act as if you don't trust me alone in those other rooms, as if Id chew on something and blame Annabelle, but geez! Are you ever gonna get outta bed Mama?"
Then the weekend was nearing and I know for a fact, Schatzie knows when it's the weekend. She gave me a look that said. "Ok, it's almost my weekend. This is when you and Dad go out to dinner and bring me back goodies. Are you ever gonna get outta bed Mama?"
Ok, the weekend is now here and Schatzie again had this conversation with me. "I cannot watch this constant Food Network on tv anymore with you. You do realize there are other channels, for instance Animal Planet works for me. And how many times do I need to growl with my toys hanging outta my mouth for you to play with me? Im so bored and I thought you said we were going camping or something? Are you ever gonna get outta bed Mama?".
So, later this morning after chasing all her toys around the house, pouting, growling, and giving me constant stares she whimpers at the side of my bed. I pick her up and lay Schatzie by my side. Schatzie gave me her look that says, "Ok, Mama you win. Im sorry you are ill and Im sorry you have cried this week, and Im sorry I acted like a spoiled Yorkie brat with all my wants." And she lays down by my side and takes a nap.
My Yorkie still loves me! This is the best medicine ever!!!!
