I appreciate the welcoming comments and the encouragement; I knew going into this that it would require patience. We have several GREAT days of success, then a few setbacks. BUT, we ARE making progress! Coco has so much personality that she truly compensates for the inconvenience of the messes. The up side? They are little messes (we once had a Golden Retriever...).
It is nice to find a community of kind-hearted people who have in common their love of little fur-people (I'm convinced Coco has no idea she's a dog). I really enjoy looking at all the photos. Just like people, they are so individual.
Tonight as I bathed and combed Coco's beautiful coat, I was simply admiring her beauty. She's a bit of work, but she doesn't seem to mind unless I have to work out a mat. I'm learning that they key to her cooperation is that I attend to her coat on a daily basis. We're both a lot happier!
