Most definitely.
That's why it's a good idea to bile acids test before spay/neuter.
If the wrong anesthesia is used or if an NSAID is given for pain, the dog is in quite a bit of danger. Medications are metabolized by the liver, so vets of dogs with LS or MVD need to be very careful.
