You can clearly see she's not going to bite your DH. If you wouldn't have described the whole story I can see where some would be a little horrified by it. I have seen Roxie do something very similar (not quite that aggressive) and it's usually to my almost 13 year old. She loves him and kisses him and is always so happy to see him but there are times when she's done something to this affect with him when she doesn't want to be bothered (when she's sleeping mostly). You know how it is sometimes when you just can't resist petting them when they are so sweetly sleeping next to you? Not all of the time but sometimes she'll do a little nip thing to him. I have no idea why she never does this to me or anyone else. I discourage it totally and am usually a little stunned by the behavior. I really think it's just that she gets startled. It's not a huge problem for it rarely happens and I correct it on the spot. Glad your not encouraging it and can see she wants it enough to protect it and try to keep him from taking it away.
