Had you gotten her spayed before she ever had a heat cycle, you would have eliminated her chance of ever getting mammary cancer. If you have her spayed before she has her second heat, the risk rises to 8%, still pretty low. If she has a second heat cycle, her risk of cancer jumps to 25%.
