You have time to call around to the vets in your area and interview them. I did this when I was waiting for my Jeter to come home from the breeders and I was so glad i did. I called the vets office first and then asked a few questions about their practice and how their experience with small dogs were and whet the price was for shots and other things. then if I liked how the interview was going, I asked if I could come over to check the office out. I got to talk to 3 of our local vets and then i made my choice with the one I wanted. Price was not a factor for me, instead i went to the vet that I got the best feel for and lucky for me he is just a block from my house! They vets were real impressed that I took the time before my puppy was home to line up a vet! And I learned a few things too
