That's great that you've put your fears aside so she can go for walks. I completely understand what you mean about worrying she will catch bugs or about other dogs, etc. It's always a worry in my mind as well and it makes me anxious when I take my two out. But well done to you though, I know it can't of been easy for you.
I hope that Lilly will get calmer the more she goes out, I bet she gets really excited with all the new sights and smells to her. Good luck finding a harness that is suitable and you both feel comfortable with.
