I give my Yorkie Bully Sticks. They are 100% digestable. Raw Hides are not and can be dangerous to small dogs because they can lodge in their throats or not digest them properly. Were you guys finally able to get the raw hide? |
Yeah, that's why I posted it, because I've never seen a dog change so quickly before either.
We didn't give her the rawhide on purpose, because we know how she reacts to them. I had a friend over who thought she was being nice by bringing Silvia a little gift. She had no idea how Silvia acted with them. When we tried to tell her, she didn't believe us, so that's why we gave it to her, to let my friend see why she can't have them. We only let her keep it long enough to video it, because I'm always telling people how she acts and they don't believe me.
We never give rawhides as a treat because I do agree that they are dangerous, on top of the fact that she goes insane over them. And notice that DH is able to pet her and she never nips, it's all a show on her part. He reached right in and got the rawhide after we "snapped her out of it" by mentioning a REAL treat.

Actually, what we gave her the treat for was for STOPPING the behavior so quickly and for NOT biting.
