I'm with you, FashionLady. Sometimes, you just have to open your heart and trust people. Besides, Natalie knew when she made the offer that she would have to talk to the guy to make arrangement, thus giving herself the opportunity to get a feel for Keven.
I cringe every time I see one of those ads where people are asking for free animals. Generally, people who want something for free are not going to spend the money (or don't have the money) to take proper care of a pet. Like you pointed out, though, Keven never asked for a free dog. I applaud him for taking time to search for a place such as this to look for a pet for his mom. There are many breeders who need to retire older dogs, and this seems like a perfect arrangement for both Keven and Natalie. Also, Keven has to pay shipping on the pup, and that's not free either. Good for Natalie for being so giving!!
