As with any breed, there will always be more non-standard dogs than there are perfect representations of the breed. One of my yorkies is so light on his saddle that he looks almost white in some places (he looks darker in his pictures) and another yorkie that is practically black on his saddle. I'm 100% sure that my dark one (Chip) is a purebred, but I do sometimes question whether my gigantor, silver one (Smokey) is really purebred.
