I don't blame you for worrying about your yorkie going under anesthesia for teeth cleaning; I too lost a yorkie that way just a moth ago. I am still getting over it. My yorkie was 9 years old and 8 lbs(a little overweight) and had kidney disease. My vet tested everything beforehand but my dog died anyway. I do blame the vet; she should have told me if she thought my dog was not healthy enough to go under anesthesia. I dropped off a cute little dog wagging his happy little tail and brought home a dead dog in a box. I don't blame you for worrying; but your dog sounds young and healthy. Make sure the vet has experience with little dogs.
