my bree was that weight at 4 months. she is over 7 months now and a shade over 2 lbs. i am definitely waiting until she is over a year old before even considering spaying her. i trust my vet and he is experienced in spaying small animals - not just dogs - but i am not chancing it until i KNOW she will not grow any more.
