When Gucci was younger she would do the same thing and I would say no in a stern voice, she outgrew that biting stage she now is 15mts old. The only problem I have with her is that she snaps at me in the evening she is laying in her comfy bed in the family room and I will retire her for the night in her room in her crate, she starts snapping and she won't let me pick her up. I don't know how to handle that.
As far as training I had trained Gucci to go on wee wee pads, and during the summer she was trained to go outside also. Like yourself I live in NJ and it has been raining non stop for the last eight days. She has been having number two accidents and she knows she is wrong. I have to retrain her on wee wee pads for the winter will be here.
